Keyboard player Phil Lanzon's first solo album titled If You Think I'm Crazy will be released 22nd September. It will be available in digital format through cdbaby and on CD through his own web site phillanzon.com.
The complete Uriah Heep back catalogue originally released on Bronze Records 1970-1983 was re-released in 2015 on vinyl and during 2016 & 2017 they will be re-released on CD. These are all double CD editions with original LP on CD1 and bonus tracks on CD2. The campaign started in September 2016 with the new 2-disc anthology Your Turn To Remember: The Definitive Anthology 1970-1990 and the classic debut Very 'Eavy ... Very 'Umble (1970). The second album Salisbury (1971) followed in October. The next three albums Look At Yourself (1971), Demons And Wizards & The Magician's Birthday (both 1972) were released 31st March.
The first single from solo album by Uriah Heep ex-bass guitarist Trevor Bolder was released in digital format in March and can be bought from iTunes or Amazon. Bolder died of cancer in 2013 and his unfinished and unreleased recordings in his home studio are used as the basis for this and the album will feature several guest appearances, e.g Mick Box, Lee Kerslake, Def Leppard vocalist Joe Elliott and Laurie Wisefield of Wishbone Ash among other. A website exists but there is not much info and release date for the album has not been confirmed yet.
According to news and rumours Heep has been writing new songs and will be going to studio sometime in the near future to record a new album Mick Box originally told at the official website that there would be a new studio album already in 2016 but the plans have changed.
John Lawton is recording a new album with reformed Lucifer's Friend.
Ken Hensley has also been busy lately. He has been writing and recording music for a stage musical and he'll be producing a new album for Australian singer Guy Delandro among other things.
