URIAH HEEP (ALMOST) ON THE TOP OF THE WORLDBack To Main Page
Finnish Heep fan Kari Huhta took Uriah Heep literally to the top of the world when he visited the Himalayas in April 2012.
Kari had a poster from the show in Tampere Finland September 2011 with him. Below are some pictures that were
taken at the Mount Everest Base Camp (height 5.360 meters) and on top of Kala Pattar mountain (height 5.545 meters).
Left - right: Two pictures from Base Camp - a view to Base Camp from top of Kala Pattar - Three pictures at the top of Kala Pattar
(Note: Mount Everest is in the background in the middle, the mountain on the right seems higher as it's closer)
Miscellaneous pictures from Base Camp with tents, snow, ice and yaks
This great journey got its closure when Kari met Uriah Heep at a fan meeting after a concert in Turku 5th August 2012
and presented the band with the actual poster that had survived with a few torns because of the strong winds.
