Mick Box - guitars, Ken Hensley - keyboards, David Byron - vocals, Gary Thain - bass guitar & (new member) Lee Kerslake - drums The first permanent line-up came to existence when bass player Gary Thain joined replacing Mark Clarke who left the band after only a couple of months. In its time this line-up released four studio albums and one live album (plus two live albums released afterwards) and came to be known as "the classic line-up"
